Kreplach are eaten on three occasions during the year. An easy way to remember when is to recall when "meh klapt", i.e. when we "beat".
Occasion 1 is Yom Kippur when we say Al Cheit and beat our chests.
Occasion 2 is Hoshana Rabbah when we "zetz" (hit) the floor with hadasim (willow branches) at the end of morning prayers.
Occasion 3 is Purim when we pound tables and otherwise make noise to drown out Haman's name.
