The goal being not just to advance Redemption but that the enemy as well (Eisav) should be transformed into a loving friend. Based on that, we can understand that the Ater Rebbe's liberation, whose goal was the complete and true redemption, was not done in a supernatural way and not in a way of breaking the bounds of nature but in a way where "his enemies as well, will make peace with him." I.e. that mundane matters as well will be transformed and make peace with Him -"dira be'tachtonim."

Yaakov and Eisav
When the Alter Rebbe was asked why he hadn't worked on his liberation in a miraculous way which would have prevented much suffering on the part of his followers, the Alter Rebbe answered that we find an explanation in Yaakov's approach to Eisav.
Even though Yaakov was a complete tzaddik and it was not necessary for him to be impressed by Eisav and "play around" with him because, from the Yaakov's standpoint, he was already prepared for the complete Redemption in a miraculous way, disregarding Eisav entirely, nevertheless, Yaakov proceeded to act in a natural way by sending gifts to Eisav.
