Yom Kippur is the only day of the year where one is obligated with 5 teffilos. These 5 tefillos correspond to the 5 levels of the soul: nefesh, ruach, neshama, chaya, yechida. The fifth tefillah, which one only says on Yom Kippur is the tefillah of Neilah within which is revealed the aspect of the yechidah of the soul, which is one with G-d, which is a point where nothing exists except the Jewish people and G-d. And this is the translation of "Neilah" - all doors are locked and no one is permitted to enter. Here, only the Jewish people and G-d exist.
